I write across three connected spaces, each reflecting a different part of my life and practice:
- Fortitude — Personal essays and reflections on life, family, identity, resilience, and the experiences that shape me.
- Fortitude Field Notes — Professional writing on place, power, narrative, philanthropy, and what I am learning through research, practice, and reflection.
- About Our Momma — A memoir blog chronicling my momma’s journey with cancer from 2009 to 2014 and our family’s experience of loving, caring for, and grieving her. Through personal stories, memories, and reflections, I write about the ordinary moments and profound lessons that shaped our lives before, during, and after her illness. It is a space for remembering who she was beyond cancer, honoring the love she gave so freely, and exploring how caregiving, loss, family, and memory continue to change us. Above all, About Our Momma is a record of her life, her influence, and the ways her presence still lives within our family.
Together, these spaces hold different kinds of writing while sharing a commitment to honesty, attention, and meaning-making.
